Have A Cozy Thanksgiving Dinner In 3 Easy Steps

HAVE A COZY THANKSGIVING DINNER IN 3 EASY STEPS

It’s almost that time of the year. Thanksgiving is just around the corner and soon you’ll be catching up with your family, shamelessly eating that second or third piece of pie and just kicking back at home. After all, Thanksgiving is about feeling warm & welcome and here are some tips to make your holiday dinner just that.

Keep everything at hand

You don’t need to be a chef to cook a great Thanksgiving dinner – but while you’re at it, you should think as one. To make the food preparation as hassle free as possible, start by setting up your workspace with everything you might need and move everything that's not a necessity out of the way. Bring out some fresh kitchen towels and put on your favourite apron to really get in the mood.

Prepare the food together

When you’re the host of the party, you’ll be surely overwhelmed by the desire to prepare everything beforehand. However, making a meal as a team makes the celebration even more special. No need to leave everything for the Thanksgiving night – just pick a simple desert recipe, invite your family into the kitchen and prepare it while the turkey is roasting. Go ahead and plan some tasks for your sous chefs and make everyone feel helpful.

Dress the table with style

Beautiful food calls for a beautiful setting. Don’t rush the decorations in between making your casseroles and checking on your turkey – set the table first thing in the morning or even the night before. To create a cozy look, choose earthy, natural tones and fabrics – the bright orange of pumpkin and the deep red of cranberry sauce will pop beautifully on grays, washed-out blues and subtle mustard-yellows. Send the earliest guests or family members outside, to stroll around the neighborhood and gather colorful leaves and branches for your table – the decorations will look beautiful and you’ll win some peaceful kitchen time.

Happy Thanksgiving!
